About the exhibition
Autumn Shades on Art ran at the Miromar Design Center from 30 October to 7 December 2024 and opened with a reception on the evening of Wednesday 30 October. It brought together international contemporary art, design and functional furniture.
The art on display included paintings by Lorna Marsh, Scott Ashley, Melissa Lauren, Ken Fraiser and Raymundo Andrade, steel wall compositions by Carolina Sardi, painted figures by Ancizar Marin, glazed ceramic by Xavier Toubes, photographs by Helena Wilson and Shelley Lake, a mixograph by Rufino Tamayo, and sculpture by Apostol, Felipe Castaneda and Emiliano Gironella Parra.
Alongside the art the gallery showed decorative objects and functional furniture: ceramics, glass, porcelain figures, a painted piano and cabinets in reclaimed wood. The photographs of those are kept here as a record of what the show held. They are not part of the catalogue and are not offered for sale.
