About the exhibition
Art in Motion was a solo show of Hugo Diaz at the Miromar Design Center, from 7 April to 6 May 2023. The exhibition explores the evolution of the Venezuelan kinetic art movement.
Diaz works in mixed media on plexiglass and in aluminium, acrylic and enamel, building images that shift and recombine as the viewer moves past them. The show brought together the tower and cube editions of 2023, the eye works of 2017, portraits of Marilyn Monroe and Frida Kahlo, and the large Harmony of 2022.
