The work in depth
Purple Tower
A freestanding three-dimensional plexiglass sculpture in which two parallel panels of blue and green horizontal stripes are held apart by clear acrylic spacers, creating a layered optical field that shifts between blue, green, and lavender as the viewer moves around it. The interplay of the two colored layers through the transparent medium produces a continuously changing chromatic experience, a hallmark of Diaz's kinetic approach applied to sculpture.
