Spirit of Stone II

Spirit of Stone II explores the powerful dialogue between raw nature and transformed material. A precisely cast and polished block of optical glass rests upon rugged granite, creating a striking contrast between transparency and opacity, refinement and natural form.

The glass captures and refracts light while visually echoing the irregular contours of the stone beneath it, as though the two materials were intrinsically connected. The sculpture transforms light, stone, and reflection into a meditation on permanence and transformation.

By uniting ancient granite with luminous optical glass, the work reveals an evocative balance between earth and light, solidity and transparency, the natural and the human-made.
