The work in depth
Uncircumcised Pennis
This artwork references the tradition of concealing or minimizing nudity in historical art, when artists and, in some cases, later censors or restorers covered the genitalia of nude figures with drapery, fig leaves, or other elements. These interventions redirected attention away from sexuality and toward the idealized human form. By revisiting this practice, the artwork explores the evolving relationship between nudity, censorship, morality, and the representation of the human body in art.
