Carolina Sardi: Steel Compositions - The Art of Metal, Solo Show.
A solo show of Carolina Sardi's steel wall installations, in which organic elements cut from steel are arranged across the wall so that volume, light and shadow do as much work as the metal.

About the exhibition
Steel Compositions, The Art of Metal was a solo show of Carolina Sardi at the Miromar Design Center, from 4 October to 11 November 2023.
Sardi is best known for wall installations built from organic elements cut out of steel and aluminium, arranged so that the shadows they throw are part of the work. The show gathered major wall pieces made between 1997 and 2023, among them Home, Metaxy, Skin Cells and Souls/Almas, with the smaller framed Bright Blue in a Box and Bright Green in a Box of 2007.

Carolina Sardi
Steel Compositions - The Art of Metal.
Carolina Sardi is an Argentinean sculptor established in Miami since 1995. She earned her Masters in sculpture degree at the National University of La Plata, Argentina.
Her creation process involves drawing, and grinding, welding and carving steel. But she is most known for her metal installations that dangle from ceilings or meander across walls, casting dappled shadows in their wake.
