CLARITA BRINKERHOFF
BIOGRAPHY & WORKS
Clarita Brinkerhoff creates sculptural forms in metal and Swarovski Stellux Crystals. She is inspired primarily by nature and its animal kingdom. The attention to detail in her creations are in perfect harmony with the shape of her subject matter. The result is an extraordinary art form that mimics perfection.
Clarita took advantage of the freedom an artist now has to create with new materials, reflecting them in her art. Some of her works range in size from 18 to 48 inches, and hold up to 45,000 crystal stones in each sculpture.
Her pieces are first sculpted in clay. A wax model is then pulled from the mold to be perfected and used as the final product. From there, holes are drilled into each piece for the stones to secure them. Every single crystal is set by hand, one by one.
As her work continues to have immense popularity, her pieces have made it in influential international private collections. including Hong Kong, Dubai, Saudi Arabia, New Delhi, Mumbai, Europe, Canada and the United States, just to name a few.
