Found III
This glazed ceramic sculpture by Maine-born artist Patricia Rieger reflects on the historical depiction of dwarfs, or people of short stature, in art. Inspired by the dignified portrayals of figures in Diego Velázquez's 17th-century Spanish court paintings, the work reexamines themes of identity, humanity, and representation.
