For the Whom the Bells Tolls

“For Whom the Bell Tolls” is a striking sculpture by contemporary Greek artist Apostol Nikolakopoulos, known professionally as Apostol.

Apostol combines weathered, organic materials with precision metal casting. The sculpture features dark, heavily patinated wood, green-patina metal brackets, and a textured bronze bell inscribed with the title. A heavy marine rope connects the frame to the bell’s clapper, while a small bird perched on top reflects the artist’s inspiration from nature and the Aegean Sea.
