Biography
Nancy Iannitelli
Nancy Iannitelli was born in 1950 in Framingham, Massachusetts, and began painting at an early age, studying portraiture with an Old World Masters approach. Over more than 40 years of study and practice she has built an immense and varied body of work whose range of style and media has earned it the label eclectic. Alongside a wealth of conventional showpieces, her recent work has turned with new vigor to Abstract Expressionism, motivated by a newfound sense of artistic freedom.
Her training began with summer portrait studies under Mrs. Daniel Cox in Massachusetts from 1963 to 1966, followed by a summer scholarship at the Boston Museum of Fine Arts in 1966 and a scholarship to the Vesper George School of Art in Boston in 1969. She went on to the Kenneth Design Institute in 1970 and summer study at the Rhode Island School of Design in 1974, and from 1986 to 1991 painted and studied with the Chilean expressionist and landscape artist Jaime Alfonso. She has also attended workshops at MOMA, Weston, Massachusetts, and the Cape Cod School of Expressionist Art.
After 40 years in Massachusetts she moved in 1990 to Naples, Florida, where she lives and works.
