Fredy Villamil is a Cuban painter and cartoonist, born in 1980 in San Antonio de los Baños, Cuba, and now living in Miami. His work merges figuration and abstraction through dynamic lines, vibrant color and complex compositions.

  • 2004-2005Art instructor training, La Quinta de los Molinos, Havana, Cuba; taught the elements of plastic art in the modern art movement, with formal art history teaching of the cubist and surrealist movements
  • 2002-2004Artistic vocational training, EVA (Cuba's Vocational School of Art), Havana, Cuba; the elements of art (line, composition, color, form, shape, space, texture and value), taught by leading Cuban painters who propelled the art movement in Havana
