Alfredo Palmero
Biography & Works
Born in Barcelona in 1966, Alfredo Palmero hails from a lineage of artists that began with his grandfather, Maestro Palmero. His harlequins are famous, a metaphor for the artist himself and a clear homage to the Picassan avant-garde, or is particular meninas (young maids in waiting), a personal reincarnation of those of Velazquez. Alfredo Palmero is known for his portraits of H.M.King Don Juan Carlos and his son, Prince Felipe. HIs works are collected by various Royal families, Casa de Alba Foundation and the International Committee ex-president Juan Antionio.
