The Aldo Castillo Gallery, renowned for representing internationally acclaimed contemporary artists, is proud to present a captivating exhibition featuring the works of Augusto Esquivel, Lluis Barba, Marlene Rose, Javier Guadalupe, Ancizar Marin, Metis Atash, Daniele Fortuna, Apostol, Havi Schanz, Troy Abbott, Hugo Diaz, Enrique Machado and Carolina Sardi. These artists are celebrated for their innovative use of unconventional materials, integrating buttons, metals, acrylics, digital art, textiles, Swarovski crystals, digital photography in light boxes, sandcast glass, wood sculptures, and kinetic elements into their artistic techniques. Many of the featured works are exclusive commissions by Aldo Castillo, the Gallery Director.
One of the highlights of the exhibition is Metis Atash’s "Art Couture" series, a dazzling collection of Swarovski crystal-encrusted Buddhas paying tribute to iconic fashion designers such as Coco Chanel, Christian Dior, Gianni Versace, Louis Vuitton, Alexander McQueen, Dolce & Gabbana, Hermès, and Yves Saint Laurent. Each Buddha is a one-of-a-kind masterpiece, meticulously hand-painted and adorned with 50,000 Swarovski crystals.
Additionally, Spanish artist Lluis Barba will unveil one of his latest works—a stunning photograph printed on fabric and illuminated in a light box, offering a contemporary reflection on Francisco Goya’s legendary "Caprichos" series.
This exhibition promises to be a groundbreaking fusion of contemporary artistry and unconventional mediums, redefining the boundaries of artistic expression.
